Identify which process matches the problem

Read the examination procedural review policy linked from the NMBA resources page. It addresses qualifying procedural concerns; dissatisfaction with a clinical judgement alone is not the same issue. The handbook also distinguishes special consideration for exceptional circumstances affecting an allocated examination. NMBA OSCE resources.

Act promptly using the current forms

Use the current policy and candidate portal for eligibility, deadline, fee and supporting evidence. The handbook instructs candidates to submit the procedural review forms through the portal, rather than emailing forms that contain payment information. Do not post identity, payment details or confidential station material to a public group. RN OSCE Candidate Handbook, 7 July 2026.

Document the concern without reconstructing cases

Write a factual account of the procedural issue, when it occurred and any permitted evidence. Keep it separate from speculation about another candidate’s experience. Do not share recalled examination content or ask others to supply confidential scenarios to support a request. RN OSCE Candidate Handbook, 7 July 2026.

Understand what a review can change

A qualifying procedural finding may lead to an opportunity to sit the examination again under the policy. It does not itself grant nursing registration or promise a pass. Continue to follow any resit or application instructions while asking the Exams Team how the review affects your case. RN OSCE Candidate Handbook, 7 July 2026.
