RN OSCE: Online Preparation or In-Person Exam?

Can I take the Australian RN OSCE online or overseas?
The exam and a preparation product serve different purposes
The NMBA practical examination assesses performance in a simulated clinical setting. Our online practice develops conversation, reasoning and familiarity with fictional records. It cannot demonstrate physical handling, examination or aseptic technique. Keep supervised practical training in your preparation plan. NMBA registered-nurse examinations.
Confirm where your actual examination takes place
Use the locations on the current NMBA RN examination page and the details in your own allocation letter. A provider’s overseas classroom, video call or course timetable is not an Australian RN OSCE examination venue. EN, midwifery and other professions can have different assessment arrangements. Plan travel after checking eligibility
Offshore candidates must follow the visa evidence and availability process. The eligibility letter does not guarantee a visa or reserve an examination place. Use remote rehearsal productively
Speak through an original scenario, ask relevant questions and document a clear plan. Use a checklist to organise what needs to be demonstrated physically later. Repeat with changed information so you practise responding rather than reciting. Remote rehearsal complements hands-on practice and does not confer registration.
