What should I bring to the RN OSCE?
Check identity and reporting details
Confirm the venue, allocated session, reporting instructions and passport requirements directly from your correspondence. If identity details or the passport have changed, contact the Exams Team beforehand. Do not assume a local student ID or a screenshot of another candidate’s instructions will be accepted. RN OSCE Candidate Handbook, 7 July 2026.
Plan clothing and personal items
Read the current dress and footwear requirements. Follow instructions for electronic devices, jewellery and personal belongings. The host venue’s general visitor guidance does not replace candidate rules. Keep necessary medication and any medical needs organised in the manner specified by Ahpra. RN OSCE Candidate Handbook, 7 July 2026.
Arrange adjustments before attending
If a health condition or disability requires an adjustment, use the published application process with the required evidence. Do not rely on an informal promise from a course provider or assume a new adjustment can be approved at the examination door. RN OSCE Candidate Handbook, 7 July 2026.
Protect the examination environment
Follow invigilator instructions and the confidentiality rules throughout attendance. Allow for the complete session, including waiting and any instructed quarantine. Keep examination content off social media and practise physical skills beforehand rather than trying to learn a new procedure during travel. RN OSCE Candidate Handbook, 7 July 2026.
