After Passing RN OSCE: Registration Next Steps

What happens after I pass the RN OSCE?
Follow the result letter and dashboard
The handbook gives 90 days from receiving the pass result to submit a complete registration application source. Keep the result communication and follow the current document instructions. Ask Ahpra promptly if an outstanding document may prevent a complete application. RN OSCE Candidate Handbook, 7 July 2026.
Check the remaining evidence
Prepare the identity, qualification, English, registration history and other evidence requested for your circumstances. Check recency and other registration standards. Do not assume that passing examinations resolves an expired English test or missing document automatically. NMBA Self-check.
Keep application and annual registration charges separate
The NMBA fee schedule lists the applicable application and registration charges. These are separate from an OSCE sitting fee or course payment. Use the current schedule and applicable principal place of practice rather than an older total quoted by a study group. NMBA fee schedule, effective 9 October 2026.
Confirm both registration and work rights
Wait for the registration decision and check the public register before representing yourself as registered. Separately confirm the work conditions attached to your visa. A job offer, OSCE result and visa decision are different steps; none should be used as a substitute for the others. Home Affairs visa finder.
